Radio Apac 92.9 FM extension

In May 2000, Radio Apac 92.9 FM extended its services by installing a rebroadcast system at Odokomit, Lira District. The rebroadcast system is at 106.5 FM. The additional radio equipment, another donation from The Commonwealth of Learning (COL), was installed/commissioned by Mr. David Walker and members of the local community.

During this time, a WorldSpace antenna was also installed on the Radio Apac tower in Apac.

Radio Apac has extended its services at 106.5 FM from Odokomit in Lira. It is reported that the broadcast can now be received in Masindi, Gulu, Kitgum, Lira and Soroti. Retransmission antenna installed in Lira.
Installation of the WorldSpace high gain antenna on the Radio Apac tower in Apac. Radio Apac receives signals via the Afristar satellite coverage. Opening broadcast of WorldSpace by the Operations Manager, Radio Apac. Worldspace programming such as health, music and weather have become popular in the community.
